"Video input" is when you use an existing video as the input, instead of just text or an image. Only the Seedance family has data for this mode. Fal and Kie charge less per second in this mode, Cloudflare and Replicate charge quite a bit more, which is why they fall so far behind here. "Video input" may not mean exactly the same thing for every provider, check the actual output length before deciding based on this alone.

Stability and setup complexity (our own assessment, not a price figure): Cloudflare is the most stable but the most complex to set up. Fal is stable with a medium setup complexity. Replicate sits in between on stability and price, and is easy to set up. Kie tends to give you more units per $100 on most models, but it's also the least stable of the four and at times slower, and is easy to set up. These same criteria, along with data retention, are available as the "Sort by" filter above the tables.
Recommendations for common use cases
This part is our own take, built from the numbers above plus the stability and setup notes, not a hard fact like the tables. Worth reconsidering as prices and reliability change.
Mostly video, rarely with video input (text-to-video, image-to-video): Cloudflare is usually the cheapest option, but it's also the most involved to set up, you need an API key plus an R2 storage bucket.
Video-to-video, using a clip as input: Kie is the cheapest across every Seedance model with this mode, no exceptions. Worth pairing it with a more stable backup, Fal or Replicate, for when Kie has issues, since it's the least stable of the four.
Heavy image work: Kie wins on price in most models here too, same caveat about stability applies. Fal or Replicate as a fallback keeps things running if Kie is having a slow day.
Want one provider that covers almost everything: Replicate has pricing for 27 of the 29 models in this comparison and is one of the more stable, easier-to-set-up options, a reasonable default even on the models where it isn't the single cheapest.
Mixing image and video-to-video at volume: a Kie plus Cloudflare (or Replicate) combo can work well, Kie for the savings, the other one as the stable fallback.
